Rental bike/scooter apps are really taking the world by storm. Seemingly from nowhere, they have
popped up in every major city in the country. The service is pretty cool actually. With a simple phone
application, you can rent a bike or scooter for a few dollars to quickly get where you are going.

When you are done with your ride, simply leave the bike or scooter wherever you happen to stop.

Lime (one of the leading companies in this industry) was actually temporarily banned from San Francisco as the city worked to figure out how to manage the new influx of wheeled traffic on the sidewalks.

The issue has been resolved, and their presence in the Bay Area is more pronounced than ever. In fact, they have even moved their headquarters there, indicating with no uncertainty that they are there to stay.

If you are planning on spending a lot of time on the sidewalks Lime, or companies like it offer a rapid means of getting around that there is just no beating.

Just be sure to keep safety in mind! Some riders have reported struggling a little bit with their scooters.
If you are inexperienced with electric scooters, start slow!
