Be proactive this Thanksgiving and prepare for your feast by burning a few calories.  A variety of Turkey Trots are available around San Francisco to get you in shape before and after you indulge in seconds (or thirds). Many races help local charities and ask participants to donate money or canned goods for their cause. Get into the spirit of sharing this holiday season and give back to your community while you do something good for yourself… and your waistline.

Attend the biggest Tree Lighting Ceremony in San Francisco with the lighting of the tree at Union Square.  After a hectic day of Black Friday shopping, take a moment to relax from 6:00 pm to 6:50 pm. This year, Macy’s will once again provide a tree to the city to celebrate its 29th Annual Tree Lighting. The tree is reusable and is decorated with over 43,000 environmentally friendly LED lights.
