Bay Area Medical Academy is committed to the success of its students. We provide a supportive and nurturing learning environment, where every student receives personalized attention. We are a smaller school and that is what makes us better. For example, our staff, instructors and administrators know every student by their first name.
We structure our classes to ensure hands-on learning, a small student to teacher ratio and provide additional coaching and lab practice hours for students who need it. We take pride in the quality of our instructors. Our courses are taught by a very knowledgeable staff of clinical laboratory technicians, cardiovascular technologists and other healthcare professionals each with more than twenty years of experience.
We also offer:
• ECG/EKG Program that is nationally certified
• BLS-CPR Program that is approved by the American Heart Association
• MA (Medical Assisting) Program that teaches both Clinical and Administrative skills
All these programs can be combined with one another to increase the education, competency and marketability of the student.
Bay Area Medical Academy is an approved training provided through CalWorks, WIA, Department of Rehabilitation, International Rescue Committee and other government and non-profit organizations. We are a dedicated partner in the network that supports families on welfare to achieve self-sufficiency.
Bay Area Medical Academy is registered with the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Vocational Education. Our Phlebotomy Program is approved by the State of California Department of Health Services - Laboratory Field Services Division.
