Gitane

Gitane

French. Gitane is funky, to say the least. It is an eclectic mix of styles and taste that attract patrons’ eyes as well as their palettes. Featuring decor that is inspired by three separate decades (50’s, 60’s, and 70’s), and named after a freewheeling gypsy, this San Francisco restaurant’s story makes it a memorable venue. Gitane is one of the few places in San Francisco that offers Basque cuisine, with dishes ranging from Cordero to Cataplana.

amed after the freewheeling gypsy, Gitane is a modern, funky, and artistically bold restaurant located in downtown San Francisco between the financial district and Union Square. Chef Bridget Batson creates thoughtful dishes inspired from the Iberian peninsula, located on the southwest tip of Europe.
