Potrero Hill Neighborhood House

Designed and built in 1922 by late architect Julia Morgan, the Neighborhood House registers #86 on San Francisco's Historic Landmark roster. Originally built for Russian immigrants fleeing Czarist oppression, the center provided the community with classes in English, sewing, and other skills. Eighty-two years later, the neighborhood house continues to serve the community with a variety of youth, senior, and outreach programs.
