The Riptide, built in 1941, has the look and feel of a small town lodge and is labeled as San Francisco's Tahoe by the Sea. In addition to rustic brick flooring and high ceilings, the original knotty pine walls and raging fireplace add warmth you can feel as soon as you step inside.
The Riptide opens daily at 4 P.M. If you’re looking for a casual atmosphere and a conversation or two with the local neighbors, stop by for Happy Hour from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. featuring honest drink specials.
At night, you might come across live bluegrass, jazz, blues, solo acoustic, or country music. Or, if you like to dance or just rock out, we have DJ's spinning soul, old school, punk, metal, and ska. You might also stumble in on Movies and Mai Tai night. Check the calendar for events or just wander in anytime.
It should be noted that there's free music every Saturday!!
The Riptide also boasts of having the best damn bar staff in the Bay Area, not to mention voted Best Fireplace and Jukebox.
